In Methods of Da’wah to
children, it is very importance to know the proper roles of parents, teachers as well as Islamic organization in inviting children to good deeds.
First and foremost, parents themselves
should be excellent role model. Parents are the closest person as the children wake up and
before they close their eyes. In
showing examples to children, parents can promote pillars of Islam through
action. For instance, parents can teach their children to pray. They can teach
their children to take wudhu’ step by step. Then, they can invite their
children to perform prayers behind them. In fact in this modern era, there are
other medium that parents can show their children on how to perform prayers.
Parents can use animated video of prayers that teach the children on wudhu’,
recitation of surah in prayers as well as du’a where ICT is incorporated. 
Other than that, teachers also should play their roles well to make
sure that children know and understand Islam at the early age. In teaching and learning process,
teachers should incorporate Islamic values to children. For instance, in
Science subject, teacher can relate the event or processes happen with the
attributes of Allah. In the process of photosynthesis, teacher can relate that
Allah is ‘Alim which He knows mankind needs oxygen to live, thus he makes all
plants and trees to release oxygen and we exhale carbon dioxide to make the
plants live. Thus mankind and others creation of Allah have connection to live.
In this example, children will understand better the learning process and at
the same time they always realize that they are the servant of Allah and can
relate their life with attributes of Allah.
Furthermore, Islamic organizations also have to ensure the success of
da’wah especially among children. For instance, book publishers have to sharpen
their effective writing skills. They can use more graphics,
pictures, and other colorful materials to attract the children to read. In
fact, they should use simple language and easy vocabulary to suit with
children’ age level. Other than that, in introducing Quran to children, they
can use methods of choosing certain Surah which are related to the building of
Islamic personalities, Islamic ethics, and offering goodness and obedience to
parents.
