Da'wah To Children

The second caliph of the Khulafa' al-Rasyidin rule, Umar al-Khattab, once said, "Teach your children with contemporary knowledge, for they are born in an era which is different from yours."

This is for preparing the children with Islamic way of living so that they will grow up with it and to make them understand the purpose of life. Child: A human between the stages of birth and puberty

  • Toddlers (2-3 years of age)
  • Preschoolers (3-5 years of age)
  • Middle Childhood (6-8 years of age)
  • Middle Childhood (9-11 years of age)

PARENTS play a big role to preach about Islam to their children. They are the closest ones to the children. When mother gives birth, parents will start teach the children about Islam. In fact, since the child was still in the mother's womb, parents can start reading Al-Quran to the child.

A child who listened to Quran recitation in the womb can have the feeling to recognize Allah and His attributes through questions, observation, curiosity and wonder and they have stronf feeling towards performance of salah.

The child is always welcomed and will give happiness to their parents and it is as essential for strengthening the marriage bond and for enlarging the ummah of Islam. The child is an amanah from Allah. Therefore, parents should teach the child what is the purpose of life, how to live in Islamic way and all teachings in Islam that a Muslim should know.

Parents hold this great responsibility since the child is still in the womb. They have to up bring their child to the Islamic way of living. It is good to inculcate the Islamic teachings since they were babies.
