Methods of Da'wah among Youth

Youth are the groups that will be leading the ummah and will be responsible on the current leadership, thus, major attentions should be given to them in order to practice and apply their understanding about Islam.
Da'wah for the youth should be conducted by parental guidance, educational institution, as well as Muslim organizations.

For parental guidance, picking the right time to talk about Islam is really an essential part of making da'wah to them. Family outing can be a great time for da'wah. Youth would prefer to do any activities rather than spending and isolated with their parents and siblings at home. By simply taking a trip to nature area can be a perfect time to point out the wonderful miracles of Allah and make them ponder the natural beings around.
Other than that, gathering during Ramadhan can be perfect time for all to focus more on 'ibadah. Parents should take this chance to perform 'ibadah together, besides get their teens to involved at the local mosque, and seek out the needy Muslims and distribute foods to them. Then, parents should encourage them to involved in activities at their local places, make a visit at old folks home and organize camping event with their friend's family sound interesting.

For educational institution, they can include activities in student's curriculum, such as halaqah. Halaqah is like a discussion among students conducted by appointed leader, guided with certain syllabus such as 'aqidah, 'ibadah and many more. Halaqah is more attractive if it conducted through different means, such as attending forums and talks related to their discussion, conducted tours at Islamic places, organize some personality development programs and many more. Furthermore, the higher authority in educational institution should provide reading material; like article and journal. Since students and youths have reached their maturity and have different level of thinking, then their reading material should be more open o rational arguments and related with current issues such as shirk.

For Muslim organizations, they can organize program such as 'ibadah camp, friendly talk and forum, as well as offering religious classes. For book publishers, they can publish reading materials like magazines, articles that touch on current issues and problem solving. Plus, any da'wah base organizations should open for youth and students to involved with their da'wah programs, teach and train them how to approach others to know about Islam.
